How to Mute/Unmute (toggle) Sound via the 4th Mouse Button?

Hi everybody, I'm new to BTT and I may be totally dense, but I cannot find a way to get BTT to perform one simple action: mute/unmute the system sound.

I have a Logitech M650 with additional buttons on the side and I easily found how to put "Mute" on the 4th button with BTT. However it only does that – it doesn't toggle (i.e. unmute on the second button push).

I've had a look through the forum and found one sound/toggle post that concerns the Touch Bar, but I don't have a Touch Bar – it's a 2023 MacBook Pro that only has the "regular" (menu item or Keyboard fn+F10) sound controls.

Thanks in advance for any pointers to a solution for my problem, Brimbram

The Mute action in BTT just presses the mute key on your keyboard. That should toggle the mute state of your ouput sound.

Does it work if you press that key on your keyboard?

Hi Andreas, thanks for the answer, this encouraged me to check the setup again and it indeed does work now as you described it. I have no idea what I did wrong the first time – it would reproducibly just mute, but not un-mute the sound. I deleted all presets, created two new ones for the two side buttons – and I'm happy to say everything is now the way I want it – without the Logitech Bloatware
