How to create multiple actions for one command?

Hello,

I already have an action assigned to a gesture. I want to add another action, so that I can select which one to do.

I did that by accident to one of my gestures. But when I add another action to an existing gesture, the two actions happen at the same time instead of getting a menu to pick from. I have one gesture that for some reason give me two choices. I don't know how I did it, and I can't do it again.

I tried creating another action for the same gesture, but when I activate the gesture, the two actions happen at the same time. I tried generating a gesture similar to an existing one, but with a different action, but that also didn't work. How can I create multiple actions to pick from in one gesture?

Thank you

Best use the predefined action "Show Context Menu (New)" (or the new "Choose From List" action)

BTT will also show a context menu if you have configured the same trigger twice, but that's not the recommended way to create such menus

Sorry, do you have some images? what is predefined action?

Thanks

That is what I would like to do. What is the recommended way?, because this method as I mentioned runs the two actions at the same time! which I don't want . I want to select one action from the context menu

you should to use the action „show context menu new“

I am very confused, what do you mean „show context menu new“?

I have to select an action, when I select multiple actions to the same gesture, the two actions starts together. I don't get a context menu to allow me to choose from?!

Thanks

It's probably not so easy to understand if you've never done it before.

Just try this first: Assign your gesture to two different actions, the same gesture. BTT then doesn't know what you want to do and shows you a conflict menu with these two actions. Now you can choose one of them.

Actually, you do it differently. But this is simple and it works too. :slightly_smiling_face:

The recommended way would be to assign the "Show Context Menu (New)" action to your trigger. Then add context menu items to that context menu which trigger the actions you want. Have a look at these screenshots it's really not very complicated once you know how to
