How do you "block" the mouse in the upper-left corner of the screen?

@Andreas_Hegenberg It would help me if I could “block” the mouse e.g. in the upper-left corner of the screen while I'm typing.

Here’s how I imagine it working: The trigger would be “move the mouse to the top-left corner.”

Then, if I accidentally move the mouse, it would be moved back to that spot in an endless loop. This is nonsense, but something like that

Of course, it should be possible to interrupt this endless loop with left-clicking in the top-left corner. Because the mouse is always there

Is this possible?

you can use the predefined actions "Start Blocking X Axis Mouse Movements" and "Start Blocking Y Axis Mouse Movements" (and the corresponding Stop actions).

Here is an example preset. Before testing it, better make sure to not have unsaved work because I am not sure whether I ever tried these actions on macOS 12.
Also you need to manually enable this option after importing the preset:

block_mouse.bttpreset (12.7 KB)

In general it enable the blocking if you move the mouse to the top left corner:

You can also unblock by pressing shift+ctrl+opt+cmd+u

Thanks, Andreas!

But I think your preset does something different than what I was looking for. It prevents me from clicking with the mouse anywhere on the left side of the screen.

When I move the mouse to the upper-left corner, nothing happens. I can also move the mouse back again.

sorry that prevent clicking was an issue in the first version of the preset, I reuploaded another one shortly after. You were too quick.

However if the mouse doesn't lock, that action probably does not work on your macOS version. Does the HUD message show up that shows "lock mouse"?

Yeah, it shows up. But the mouse doesn't stay there.

Okay, so that doesn't work with my OS.

Can you think of a solution based on my idea? I just need to know: how do you break the loop so that the mouse keeps returning to the upper-left corner?
