how do I stop button overlaps

I used to have the GC preset but I decided to add the aquatouch too for a couple of new features (mainly app specific ones) but I ran into the issue where the old butons (that I would like to keep when not using a app specific Touch Bar) overlap with app specific ones. Please help!

That can happen if you have too many buttons in the "fixed" areas. You would need to put them in the scrollable center to solve this.
