Let say if I am on youtube, which I can get from active window, pressing say h, would open youtube history window in the same, as of now its opening in new tab

What is you current config, can you share it (screenshots)? I'm not sure, but maybe this thread will help - Automatically detect chrome bookmarks bar and open it in a new tab - #5 by Andreas_Hegenberg.
