Describe the bug

After restarting BTT it runs ok until I use the launcher, the it goes up to 47% at idle, eventually creeping up to 65-75% CPU. It only seems to use one core, but is making my keyboard and mouse unusable.

M4 Mini, latest alpha, just upgraded to macOS 27, but it started a couple of days ago before I upgraded

I can post a sample BetterTouchTool -file ~/Desktop/BetterTouchToolSample.txt if you tell me there's nothing private in there

Best send the sample to andreas@folivora.ai, it doesn't contain much private data but for example your username could be included

I did already on Wednesday, check your spam folder :grin:

In that case it is already fixed for the next build. It seems like something on your system was constantly triggering a subtle change to the /Applications folder, which in turn made the launcher re-scan it all the time.
I have added protection to prevent that, but unfortunately I can't tell what is causing your constant folder events - that is something outside of BTT which you might want to look into.

I discovered what is writing to the applications folder, is there a way to exclude that subdirectory from scans?
