`Hide Menu Bar Icons Left Of Specific Icon` acts as toggle instead of only hiding icons

MacOS 15.7.2

I set up a trigger for Move Mouse Away From Top Screen Edge to have the action Hide Menu Bar Icons Left Of Specific Icon rather than the similar Show/hide… action, but it’s still acting like a toggle: If all the icons are visible when I move away, then it hides them. But if the icons to the left are already hidden, it shows them when I move away.

It should just hide them, or am I misunderstanding something?

The corresponding Move Mouse To Top Edge Of Screen trigger doesn’t have any actions associated with it.

I also tried just running the Hide Menu Bar Icons Left Of Specific Icon action, and it still just acts as toggle.

I’ve just disabled the move to/away from top triggers for now. But I was wondering if this we the intended behavior of Hide Menu Bar Icons Left Of Specific Icon?
