Has anyone built a Codex Controller Floating Menu preset yet?

Hello everyone,

I’m excited about BetterTouchTool’s new work-in-progress Codex Controller and would love to try it. A Floating Menu or macro-pad dashboard for viewing recent Codex tasks, monitoring their status, and accessing the available controls sounds incredibly useful.

I don’t have the ability to build a Floating Menu or widget like this myself. Has anyone created a working preset they would be willing to share? Even an early or basic version would be greatly appreciated.

I understand that the feature is still evolving, so I’m happy to experiment with something unfinished and provide feedback.

Thanks! I’d also be interested to hear how well it has been working for anyone already using it.

I have been working on this a little bit and will soon provide an example. Unfortunately the control api is a bit limited, let's see how far we can get.

That's really exciting! Looking forward to it, and it'll be a great example for how to create more interactive floating menu or macro-pad dashboards.

here is a first version of such a preset, it requires v6.713. I'll add documentation to how this works later today.

Can also be bound to macropads (stream deck etc.)

I gave it a try, and it works surprisingly well!!! There are only a few things that probably need minor tweaks. Switching between threads can be inconsistent; sometimes you have to click twice or three times the agent key before it works. The New and Open buttons work really well. The Fork button appears to break because it duplicates the thread while keeping the same name - may need to append something to the duplicated name. The Stop button works, but Allow and Deny do not currently work in response to a query. The Refresh and Close buttons work as expected.

I have been able to use it quite well with my setup. It has been very helpful, even as a floating desktop menu. Super cool!
