I’m using Sony’s Dual Shock (PS5) and Steam in Big Picture Mode for simple macOS navigation while playing games but need some help.
Holding the Dpad Down button and R1 & L1 switch spaces, I have 2 desktops and whatever app is running full screen. Problem is that whatever app is frontmost doesn’t get activated and when I switch from steam in fulll screen the app is still active (I can hear sfx from the hud when I move the sticks). Is there a way to fix this so it mimics exactly how switching spaces with a gesture works?
Obviously I don’t want to reach for the keyboard or trackpad in my MBP (I have it connected to my TV).
Second, holding the Dpad Down button R2 & L2 I want to mimic the command + tab app switcher and releasing Down button selects the app. I haven’t got this working after trying the window switcher action and trying to simulate keyboard shortcuts like cmd + tab to move forward and back across the apps.
Things get complicated with Dpad ‘press’ and ‘release’ triggers while pressing R2 or L2 to trigger forward and back. What configuration of actions and triggers would work for this setup? I can’t seem to achieve simply summoning and deploying the built in app switcher with the controller after trying several methods, but various actions and triggers available in the controller UI seem to indicate BTT can achieve this.
