Currently (BTT 6.308), the default trackpad speed has a maximum value of 8 and the modifier speed goes up to 35. I like to have a default trackpad speed higher than 8 (about 20) and use the modifier key to slow it down (to 2) for precise positioning. This could be accomplished by either providing an option to swap the default/modifier speeds setting, or more simply, by allowing the default speed to be set higher than 8. At the moment, I have the default speeds set to 8 and the modifier speed set to 2.
