Force click disabled in mac settings gets turned on when BTT is open

Hello!

Problem

  • I would like to completely disable force touch, but it seems that BTT will enable it even if turned off in system settings and I cannot disable it in BTT
  • With BTT not running and force touch disabled in mac settings, there will be no force touch. When opening BTT there is now a force touch click for 3,4,5 fingers.
  • With BTT running and force touch enabled in mac settings, there will be regular force touch with 1,2 fingers, and 2 levels of force touch for 3,4,5 fingers (this means regular press = 1st click, press further = 2nd click, press even further = 3rd click)
  • The issue was not present with OSX Sonoma and only appeared today after updating to Sequoia 15.1.1 (24B91)

Things Tried

  • Restart, relaunch BTT
  • Disable-reinable-disable force touch in mac settings
  • Adjust FORCE Touchpad pressure level in trackpad settings, but none of the settings here have any impact

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: macbook air m1 2020, issue is when using the integrated trackpad
  • macOS version: Sequoia 15.1.1 (24B91)
  • BetterTouchTool version: BTT v2.428 (am not able to update beyond this with my current license)

If there are any solutions possible with this version it would be much appreciated. Many thanks.
