For generic Steam decks is there a post where we can submit info to get them added?

on the back of the unit it says Basicolor/VSD inside hsv293s

Best create new threads for each device, yours is good.

You could try to add it and see whether it already works:

  1. quit BTT
  2. run this terminal command:
defaults write com.hegenberg.BetterTouchTool BTTMacroPadExtraDevices -array \
  "0x5548:0x1018:m18:Basicolor HSV293S"
  1. see whether you can bind a floating menu to it (item size might need to be adjusted from the templates)

kind of works. Displays on the pad but the placement nor the action in BTT doesnt match the buttons on the unit. example and video below

I think I provided the wrong command for this device family. Can you try quitting BTT, then run these commands?

1:

defaults delete com.hegenberg.BetterTouchTool BTTMacroPadExtraDevices

2:

defaults write com.hegenberg.BetterTouchTool BTTMacroPadExtraDevices -array \
  "0x5548:0x1018:akp153v3:Basicolor HSV293S"

I think that did it thank you so much. One last question can we use gifs for the buttons?

Not right now. Some Macro Pads might support animated pictures but I have not yet looked into that.

Awesome I look forward to that in the future, I know this device does when I was using the VSD software.
