for the last few versions, the floating menus that i have associated with apps - when i close the app or quit the app, the floating menu stays behind. it happens in many apps - so it's not application specific.
but the buttons on the floating menu don't work - it's like a ghost strip of the floating menu bar and the buttons on it but the buttons don't do anything when clicked. but i can right click on them and use all the context stuff.
it's really becoming a nuisance because i have to quit and relaunch btt all the time now when i'm done using the few apps i have btt attached to. otherwise they're on top of everything because that's how i have them set up.
also - it's happening in 3 different computers - m1 mini, m4 laptop, 2018 intel mini
which version of BTT are you on?
most recent. and i keep updating every update, hoping to fix it. it's been going on this whole year, maybe even late 2024. i didn't note when it started. i just keep updating hoping it stops. but today was my day to give up and ask for help.
Unfortunately I haven't experienced that myself yet (at least not with the 5.2xx versions). Which version of macOS are you on? Could you maybe share one of your menus where that happens? (right-click, export to file)
Can you reproduce the issue or does it happen randomly?
In case of BTT "latest" is always a bit problematic because there are various different update channel, thus best always include a specific version number in bug reports.
i did a screen shot of the version number above from the btt drop down menu so you would have all the proper info - sorry i didn't mention that i attached that image = 5.271 - but it's been following me around in all my computers for many versions. i think it happened last fall. and it's not one specific app menu, it happens to a few different apps.
it was doing it on the most recent sequoia and the most recent sonoma. but... of course now that i'm trying to screen record it happening, it's not happening. it doesn't happen every time, but often. so the next time it does, i'll record and post. so i guess the answer is that it happens randomly. i can't figure out why.
