Floating menu disappears after a trigger is cancelled - since after Ver 5.468

BTT: Version: 5.468 (2025061017)
macOS 15.6.1 (24G90)
Apple M3 Max 36GB

Hi Andreas,

This is just a kind reminder. No immediate action is required. I am rolling back to 5.468 for now.

The floating menu has been perfectly stable for a while before and including Version 5.468 as far as I can recall. I am very happy about the stability and features of 5.468 and did not attempt to install any further updates until Sep.

I have menu items that trigger Apple script to show a list of subfolders and files immediately under a folder. When running 5.468, the list will appear above the floating menu (see attached with the list being covered). If I click on another area of the active app's window, the list's window will disappear and the floating menu will remain visible. This behaviour is what I expected: the trigger is cancelled and the floating menu is back to focus.

When I installed Version 5.571 and all versions afterwards in early Sep, the floating menu will no longer be visible after the same action. I need to restart BTT, or to add a trigger to reset the floating menu to make it appear again. This bugs exists in some earlier versions when you first introduced the fixed-width (flexible height) and fixed-height (flexible width), then being fixed after more updates are released. Now it is there again.

Thanks in advance for reading this.

Before bug reporting, please make sure you have tried the latest (alpha) version of BetterTouchTool and that you have already tried to restart your system :-). If you encounter a crash, please attach a crash log from the macOS Console.app from the "User Diagnostic Reports" section.

Mhh can you think of a way to make this reproducable for me? Is your menu sharable (Then I could try it here) or does it contain private stuff?
