Is it possible to add a feature to float any application? It doesn't need to stay active; it just needs to stay on top. For example, on Mac, the notes app and stickies app has an option to float a specific note or stickie. It would be awesome if there would be a way to do that for any app.

Unfortunately this requires much deeper system integration and requires System Integrity protection to be turned off (which is not recommended). Have a look at apps like aFloat for this: https://github.com/rwu823/afloat
