I've had/have a big problem for some time and may have just had a brilliant idea.
My butterfly keyboard is %&/$%
My "b" and "n" key is broken...
My tipping looks like this (if I do not correct it):
This is ann nexample typing with my bad keys.. I am now typing a few times "space" annd "n":
n n n n nn nn nn n n n n nn nn n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n nn n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n nn n nn n n nn n nn n n n n n n n n n n n n nn n n n n n n n n n n n n n n nn nn n n n n nn nn n n n n n n nn n....
And "space" and "b":

So sometimes it s typing two letters instead of one.

Is there a way to tell my mac that he have to ignore double typing withinn 0,XX seconds??

It has been developed exactly because of this issue with the butterfly-keyboards.
If you go into key sequence/typed words you can record the "nn" or "bb" as the trigger and set the max pause between keystrokes to .05 seconds.
then make the action typing a single "n" or a single "b"
I've attached images below and it has worked perfect for me.
I'm going to use this until I can afford to spend a few days without my macbook for the keyboard repair
@cpadjacent this works! I wanted to avoid installing another app on my system. I found that you don't actually need the subsequent action, just set "Delete typed characters after recognition. Number of characters to delete" to 1. This simply deletes the 2nd unwanted character:
