Describe the bug
Mixed up of two option "Top half" / "Bottom half" (see screen)
A search with "Top half" will not find the image which is at the top, but option "Bottom half" will. Looks like these two option are mixed up.

you are absolutely right, fixed in 5.312 (uploading)
(It worked when searching specific windows, but on whole screens it failed because the coordinates are inverted there)
One other thought on the Find search image action…
When i select the image on screen i have selected a red area on screen (before hitting the spacebar), why can that (red) area not used as „red/fixed search area option“ (instead of botton half / top left.. etc) ?
In my particular case, that image (a play button) is always at that spot on the screen (sometime with a different color),
In other words: the location i want to search on screen is fixed. Would that not speed up the whole search ?

if you already know the position, why would you need to search for it?
I need to check if that play button is green in Ableton for example (other button change only the „icon“), but all those are at a fixed spot…
ah that makes sense.
I could add another option to the "Limit Search Region" dropdown that either re-uses the area used for selecting the image or allows to capture another area.
That would be great! (As that would speed up the search)
