Feature Request: Smart Eraser for Screenshot Editor

It would be great to have a "Smart Eraser" tool in BetterTouchTool’s screenshot editor, similar to the one in ShareX on Windows.

The idea is simple: instead of blurring or covering unwanted elements, Smart Eraser removes them by filling the area with pixels from the surrounding background. This makes it really easy to clean up screenshots without leaving obvious patches.

I use this quite often when creating technical documentation, and it’s one of those small features that makes a big difference in daily workflows.

Would love to see something similar in BetterTouchTool!

I am not sure whether I can get a similarly good Smart Eraser, but I added a basic one in v6.926!

I tested it and it's already quite good! Nice addition. Even CleanShot, which I've been using for all my screenshots, doesn't have this feature. This got me thinking. Do I even need CleanShot anymore when I have BTT.

Speaking of CleanShot, could we get keyboard shortcuts for the following BTT screenshot features? :slightly_smiling_face:

  • Capture Previous Area
  • Capture Window

Previous area is currently not possible, but the "Capture Window" is either possible by pressing space while in interactive capture mode or by using the "Capture Screenshot" action and setting "Start in window selection mode":

unfortunately BTT's screenshot tools are completely based on the macOS native ones and as far as I know they do not store the last used area anywhere (unless you use the toolbar mode, but then this is automatic)
