Hi,
I’d love to see a new action called something like “Reset Drawing Recording Origin.”
In the current implementation, when running the action “Start Recording Drawing,” the recording seems to continue from the last time the trackpad was touched.
Here’s an example to demonstrate what I mean:

“Drawing A” is a straight vertical line upwards.

I place my finger on the trackpad and draw something (e.g., a circle), keeping my finger on the trackpad.

While still keeping my finger down, I trigger the action “Start Recording Drawing” via a shortcut.

I then immediately draw the straight upward line that should trigger “Drawing A.”
However, it doesn’t get recognized.
I suspect this happens because the system still considers the circle I drew before triggering the recording as part of the same gesture.
If I instead:

Keep my finger off the trackpad,
-
Trigger “Start Recording Drawing,”

Then perform the exact same upward line gesture,
“Drawing A” is recognized correctly.
This is why I believe a reset functionality would be very useful. It would allow starting a fresh recording without having to lift the finger from the trackpad.
I also tried placing a “Stop Recording Drawing” action right before “Start Recording Drawing,” but that didn’t change the behavior.
If there’s already a workaround for this, or if I’m misunderstanding how this works internally, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
