Favorite entries in the Clipboard Manager widget are not persisted

Hello, I found a bug affecting the Clipboard Manager Touch Bar widget from BTT, that I wish didn't exist :sweat_smile:

Bug description
If you make an entry favorite in the Clipboard Manager Touch Bar widget, it'll be marked as such, but when restarting BTT or the MacBook Pro, it'll not be gone.

It seems it doesn't affect old entries (this bug wasn't present when I bought the 2020 MBP with 10th Gen Intel CPU soon after its launch), but new favorites never make it through.

Affected input device:
Touch Bar

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Pro 2020 with 10th Gen Intel CPU
  • macOS version: Big Sur 11.4
  • BetterTouchTool version: 3.562

Weird, this sounds like a file permission error. Did you recently restore from a backup or something like that?

If you don't care about loosing the clipboard history data, delete these files, then BTT will recreate them and take care of file permissions:

~/Library/Application Support/BetterTouchTool/BTTClipboardManager.sqlite
~/Library/Application Support/BetterTouchTool/BTTClipboardManager.sqlite-shm
~/Library/Application Support/BetterTouchTool/BTTClipboardManager.sqlite-wal
