I use the four-finger click gesture. Running the latest Sequoia beta you get four levels of click with increasing pressure, instead of the standard click and force click. The four finger click gesture is triggered on the release of the second level click, but there's very little pressure difference between triggering the first two levels, so every four finger click you get a flurry of four haptics. It's kinda like it's triggering a BTT haptic in addition to the system haptic for both regular click and force click, at slightly different force levels. I've also reset all settings, issue persists.
However then the actions executed by BTT might not be at the exact same time as when the system haptic response occurs. Might need some adjustments of the pressure values in this screen as well.
Currently BTT disables the system haptics and creates its own for BTT gestures. Maybe that won't work with Sequoia anymore.
I noticed the same issue, I set the haptic response to "no feedback" and tried to fiddle around with the sensitivity values but could not get it working as it did in Sonoma
If there is still double-haptics for you, please go to help => export diagnostic debug information and send the result to andreas@folivora.ai (it's possible I need to add some of the trackpad identifiers to the compatibility list)
I was able to update to 4.660 this morning and it seems that "BTT Default Normal Click" now works as expected (thank you!!), but "New BTT Default Normal Click" seems to only give feedback on the 'up' click, it doesn't provide any feedback on the 'down' click. Same goes for the ForceClick haptics, the old default works as expected but the new one doesn't.
ah yes, I think the „new default click“ has been buggy for a while. It‘s not needed though, it was added because it uses official API, but the private api has worked fine for many years
