I've noticed that when I have an execute on drag mouse action classified as discrete, it does not seem to be entirely discrete when the mouse is moved very quickly. As you can see in the video, the first two times I moved the mouse very slowly, and the action only gets triggered once. If I move the mouse quickly, as in the last four attempts, the mission control invocation gets triggered again, thereby dismissing mission control.
This works very well! Thank you very much. I wasn’t aware of this setting (I thought it would be on the action itself, if it existed)
I have a very similar problem. I'm using a Logitech MX Master 3 and the gestures triggered by Mode Shift Button press + Drag Left (Discrete) or + Drag Right (Discrete). The action is to move an active window to another monitor. I use it all the time, and it's a very good replacement for trackpad gestures:
The problem is that the action gets triggered 5-6 times instead of once.
Would tweaking the Normal Mouse settings also work for Logitech:
How exactly would you recommend tweaking these to solve my issue? There are at least 3 settings here that might apply (and no documentation).
Which version of BTT are you on? In general you can increase the "Discrete Drag Retrigger Treshold", but be sure to be on the latest version of BTT.
I'm on v6.506 (Setapp).
I've doubled Discrete Drag Retrigger Threshold to 300px. Much better!
BTW, it looks like it was not saved to a preset, which I used to copy it over to another machine.
After a few days of tweaking, I'm now at 1000 px, which seems to be working well.
And yeah, this setting is mistakenly not saved or imported via a preset.
You can create a new post about the setting not being saved!
