Evoluent Mouse button and yabai mouse action doesn't work when BTT is running

Hi, I use yabai and an Evoluent mouse. When BTT is running the right button of the mouse doesn't work. And yabai's mouse_action2 doesn't work.

I already deactivated everything that I think could conflict with the mouse / yabai, but that doesn't help. Only deactivating or quitting BTT makes the mouse and yabai work as expected.

Any ideas how to debug this?

you might have accidentally configured a right mouse action in BTT's normal mouse section. Is that possible?

No, I but made a silly mistake. Long time ago I tried to swap the middle and the right button, i.e. use the middle button for right clicking. That messed everything up. After removing this false configuration everything works as expected. Thanks!

But this takes me back to my initial plan: I'd like to swap middle and right button on the Evoluent mouse.

  • Is there any way to do this that works on a level that doesn't cause problems?
  • Is there any way (an app or a terminal command) that displays the codes a mouse button sends? ("codes" might be the wrong term, thinking of an equivalent to "key codes")
