I don't know why but during the setting of stream deck
Suddenly BTT got endless open again
I tried delete (not delete with cleaning app) and re download but not solved
and also give a full disk permission , restart Mac is not solved neither

I'm having the exact same issue on macOS 14.4.1 (company laptop). I'm also having issues with Cleanshot X needing first-time setup every time it launches. It looks to me like BTT isn't "crashing" but is relaunching but didn't save anything previously. That suggests to me that the problem is higher than BTT. Maybe permissions somewhere.
I've uninstalled both tools and deleted the folders in Application Support.
Logs from there don't seem to show anything suspicious. Just something like this seems to tell itself to restart, followed by what looks like regular startup:

First try to enable safe mode:
If you can then launch BTT first go to help -> export diagnostic debug information and send the result to me (andreas@folivora.ai)
Afterwards you can try to delete some triggers you have recently added. Most likely one of them is running into a bug, crashing BTT
@boring-developer in your case something seems to be restarting BTT intentionally. Still, safe mode and exporting the debug info might help
Well I can't wait to use Mac without BTT , So erase completely then relaunch BTT again solve problem. it seems I tried to give permission to newly download application
I deleted BTT and the Application Support folder again then rebooted into safe mode and installed. Here are the logs after:
- Install.
- Launch and allow it auto-install update.
- Reopen and attempt to install the helper tool.
- Finish the start screen flow and "Start BTT".
- BTT reopens, prompting me to install the helper tool again. I again allow it.
- BTT again reopens, once again prompting to install the helper tool. This time I say "Later".
- Finish the start screen flow and "Start BTT" again.
- BTT restarts again showing the start screen flow and prompting to install the helper tool.
The flow is exactly like @think-j's video above. I'm just pressing the "Start using BTT" button. Is there another data folder somewhere I haven't deleted?

ah this sounds like a file permission error. Did you recently install some file syncing software or rename your macOS user?
To fix this, best quit BTT then run this terminal command:
defaults delete com.hegenberg.BetterTouchTool
or alternatively delete this file:
~/Library/Preferences/com.hegenberg.BetterTouchTool.plist

It's a corporate MBP, so it's entirely possible they've deployed new software but I would be totally unaware. They don't typically have a reason to backup non-servers. However, there are plenty of other endpoint security suites that cause me a number of problems in other ways. To my knowledge, nothing has changed recently though.
When I initially tried to run that command along with deleting BTT+files, it still didn't work. I decided to try doing it in safe-mode again just incase. While in that process, I decided to copy the BTT .app to my user Applications folder rather than the global Applications folder, and now it seems to work - even after rebooting out of safe mode.
So, It might be a permission issue on my system that I sidestepped with user-level install or it might have been something weird that other security software is blocking during initial setup (our security software does not run in safe mode).
