dualsense trackpad ; mouse resets to previous position

stable version, dualsense. after enabling trackpad (with the controller's pad), the mouse goes back to the position it was in before moving, which is annoying

thanks for reporting, should be resolved in 6.881!

Btw. I highly recommend to not use the old outline style list view anymore. It has been disabled for new users since more than a year and is not getting updates anymore. (It was too buggy and hard to maintain, there might come another similar style in the future but based on swiftui)

i've juste changed to the other style, thank you. i can report that 885 fixes the issue.

however, when using "trackpad", two fingers scroll doesn't scroll at all. i'm also trying to figure how to make the trackpad act as a mac trackpad (it's written but i don't use btt much these days haha), aka right click, left click, two/three finger if those exist

@Andreas_Hegenberg I forgot to tag you in the answer

sorry the UI for the trackpad config is currently a bit confusing. You can choose the gesture you want to configure via the dropdown here:

no problem, thank you. i have enabled it, but it still doesn't work, what am I doing wrong?

also i've quoted your answer again but it didn't seem to have quoted/tagged you haha @Andreas_Hegenberg

you do not need to tag me

Tap to left-click is not working for you?

okay gotcha

honestly nothing seems to be working so I must be doing something wrong. neither tap nor click work

okay I needed to use "left click without modifier key", I thought I should use the one you showed in your screenshot since it specifies "at the current mouse location"

so far only managed to get tap to work, but "click" doesnt.

now about scrolling, how do i scroll up and down? do I have to create a scrolling event?

scrolling should happen automatically with two fingers. I have not tested the dualsense controller a lot yet as I only received one 2 days ago. I'll do some thorough testing with the trackpad settings on monday.

if you've been able to try it out, does everything work great for you?

hey again andreas, tap to click has been fixed with the recent updates! scrolling still doesn't work though, how about you?

scrolling is working fine here (using two fingers to scroll up/down/left/right)

how can I debug this?

Ah, if you assign actions to the "Swipe up" / "Swipe Down" actions the standard scrolling will be overridden. What do you have assigned to these?

yeah I got confused, so they're enabled by default huh? I thought I had to enable them (with the tick icon showing up), because touchpad click/tap wouldn't work unless I set them to "left click without modifier key"

how do I reset them/unassign? I actually did not assign anything to the two finger gestures

Actually if nothing is assigned it should not matter, the checkmarks are a bug I'll fix asap.

Unfortunately I'm not quite sure what could cause the scrolling issue then. Does scrolling work if you e.g. assign it to the right stick or does this also do nothing?

yes, the scrolling function works if set up on the right stick

this is what it shows when I click on two fingers swipe up config

if set to "gestures only", neither scrolling nor trackpad function operate
