My Dropbox Plus license was out yesterday, and its sync stopped because there was no space in it. After that, my mac became too slow. I couldn't find the cause out first, but somehow, I figured it out that was caused by Dropbox sync.
So, I guess it makes sense to notify users that your dropbox ran out of space or to stop syncing when it couldn't sync because of over space.
