Dragging and dropping clips in Avid Media Composer v2018.4 has a delay between the click of the clip and when a successful drag can be started whenever BTT is running.
I'm using the Logitech M100 mouse.
I just use BTT for keyboard triggers to resize windows -- I don't use it for mouse actions at all. Can I just disable BTT's hold on my mouse so that Avid Media Composer can work normally?
BTT doesn't do anything with your mouse unless configured to. However unfortunately in some apps that have a weird/custom event handling implementation, even listening to keyboard events can cause such problems. The only option in such a case is to disable BTT for that specific app.
If you are using window snapping in BTT, it may help to disable that for Avid as some apps don't support the macOS API that is being used for snapping correctly and cause delays there.
That seems to work. Thank goodness. This was driving me crazy for two weeks!
