'don't show icon in dock' option doesn't work, dock icon is there whatever I do.

Imac 27" late 2015
3.2g core i5
24gb ram
Boot disc external SSD sammy T5
Mojave 10.14.6

I can't not show icon in dock-

option doesn't work, even if I uncheck 'show dock icon' and reboot app or reboot Mac.

dock icon is there whatever I do.

i have the same issue, cant get the Dock icon to hide - except to quit BTT. what can we do?

I came here to report the same issue. It turns out there is a workaround: just enable "Silently download & install updates on restart" on the basic settings tab. After enabling this, the dock icon / app switcher icon disappeared as expected.

@Andreas_Hegenberg - is this a known issue? It's a bit confusing.

I think this has been fixed a long time ago. Did you encounter this with a current version?

Oh, yeah seems like I'm stuck at 3.209 (November, 7, 2019), despite the fact that app says "This license will receive free updates until Apr 3, 2020". I guess I missed my chance to update before the license expired.

Hi there!
I have been experiencing this problem for a while, and I have tried every setting and solution I could find. I also attempted to activate alpha updates, but that didn’t help. My current version is 5.260.

No matter what I try, the BTT dock item is always visible. When I click on it, nothing happens—no preferences window opens. I only see it getting activated via the top menu.

I would really appreciate any help.

could you help me with this?

The dock icon always shows if you have the BTT UI open, if you close the BTT UI it should go away unless that option is enabled.

but the BTT UI is closed.
Even if there is no window associated with BTT open, the dock icon is still there.

did you maybe just add the icon to your dock? Can you right-click it and remove it via options?

no it just goes away when I quit the app completely :frowning:

if you want you can go to help => export diagnostic debug information and send the result to me (andreas@folivora.ai), then I can check why it is showing!

that would be great! sending immediately  thank you Andreas!
