In Logitech Options, it is possible to remap a mouse button plus drag actions (either up, down, left, or right) to various actions, similar to what you can do in Better Touch Tool in the screenshot above; however, I feel like Logitech Options has a slight edge here. I feel like it turns out that they block mouse movement when you press down the button. Even if you drag your mouse up, down, left, or right, your mouse does not move anywhere.
Right now, I feel like Better Touch Tool's implementation doesn’t “feel” as polished as Logi Options’ implementation. When I perform the back button + drag up in order to open Mission Control, because the mouse moves, it actually selects random windows that I don't want to select. If I ever invoke the gesture again in order to get back to the same app (in other words, essentially dismissing Mission Control), it usually ends up taking me to another app, and then I have to invoke Mission Control again to go back to that app manually. The Logitech Options behavior avoids this completely. If the mouse doesn't move when invoking Mission Control, then even if the mouse is resting on a different app, it won't actually activate that app underneath the mouse. Invoking it again will dismiss Mission Control and take you back to your original app.
Would love to hear about others' thoughts on this if anyone has ever used the Logi Options software before.
