I’ve been able to reproduce this bug on BTT versions 5.668, 5.669, 5.670, and 5.680. I’ve attempted, and have been unable to reproduce this bug on BTT versions 5.640, 5.650, 5.660, 5.665, and 5.667. So it seems the bug is somewhere in the diff between BTT versions 5.667 and 5.668.
Floating Menu Disable Menu Dragging Bug.bttpreset (10.3 KB)
Steps to reproduce:
- Go to System Settings > Trackpad, and enable Tap to Click. I’ve tested this with the internal Macbook Air trackpad and an external Magic Trackpad 2.
- Either import the Floating Menu from the link above and jump straight to step 5, or create a new Floating Menu by clicking the plus button in BTT and continue following these steps.
- Assign the Mission Control action (or whatever action you like) to one of the three menu items of the default Floating Menu that is to be executed on the button release trigger on the menu item. Remove the other two menu items (this is just to keep things simple, and not necessary for reproducing the bug).
- Go to the Floating Menu’s Configuration > Advanced Menu Setup > Other (Z-Index / Title Bar Style), and enable (tick) the Disable Menu Dragging setting.
- If the Floating Menu isn’t visible, click the small eye icon at the Floating Menu Configuration to make it visible.
- Using the trackpad, tap (to click) on the menu item and you’ll notice that nothing happens, however many times you tap.
- Using the trackpad, press (to click) on the menu item many times (often you need to press tens of times) until the Mission Control action (or whatever action you assigned) is executed.
