Differentiate left/right modifier keys on a trigger also affect actions.

If "Differentiate left/right modifier keys" is set on a trigger, it also affects shortcut actions. Is there a way to disable that?

Example:

How do I send a plain ⌘G and not a r⌘G?

There's no configuration option in the action:

Sorry to spam you with all these feature requests and bugs lately, but I guess you'll have to blame yourself for setting up this forum.

Did some testing. It's not related to the trigger setting, it's related to which ⌘ key I'm using to record the shortcut.

  1. If I use the right ⌘ key, it becomes r⌘G.
  2. If I use the left ⌘ key, it becomes ⌘G.

That solves my problem.

(Not that I need it right now, but is there a way to send l⌘G?)

You can even use both cmd keys simultaneously. The hidden beauty of BTT. :slightly_smiling_face:

In a trigger, yes.
In an action, no.

Side note: The double-⌘ has to be a new feature (or fix), because it didn't work when I tested it just ten days ago: Send shortcut to specific app (Microsoft Teams) action not working when app is on the foreground - #6 by Pal

double command / modifier has been there fore quite a while, however some of these might not work if Secure Input is active. Possibly this is also causing the Teams issue for you? (Some company MDM systems force secure input for some apps - BTT should however show a warning in the menubar icon menu)

Then I don't know what happened in that other thread. The double-⌘ didn't register as triggers (but they do now). Which ought to be unrelated to Teams, since BTT was the active application.

There's no warning in the menu when Teams is active. The Teams problem described in the other thread (multiple presses needed) is still there.
