Would it be possible to have the dictionary as a widget on the touch-bar? I use the thesaurus frequently when writing, don't want to switch back and forth constantly.
I have no apple script knowledge.

It is possible. Just follow the sequence in the tutorial. It is simple
Only things i could not do is open selected text in mac dictionary. Hope someone will help
I notice there is already a script to "search selected text in google", may be can someone can modify this to "search selected text in mac dictionary"

export it to your Finder. Then go to BTT and reply to this post. Click on this icon: 
Then click 'Choose File' and click on the preset you want to share.
