Delete file shortcut works first time only

Describe the bug
The finder shortcut CMD+delete normally deletes files and it does it always but assigning it to the delete itself works first time and then stops working
(while working on MacBook itself fn-backspace = delete)

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):
trackpad of the macbook
