Custom Context Menu NEW function - Bug database

Describe the bug
Since an update, using the "Custom Context Menu (NEW)" function, I had created a set of Snippets using the "Insert / Type / Paste Custom Text" function and since then, I have an error message on the Bettertouch interface that appears on all my snippets stating "Error: This action might be shown due to a database error. Please delete."

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Pro 2019
  • macOS version: 14.3.1 (23D60)
  • BetterTouchTool version: 4.401

Do they work regardless of this message?

No, since they are unusable, no action is taking place.

Unfortunately then it's really a database error and you'll probably need to delete them. This was quite a while ago, there was an alpha version that had a bug. (I think maybe 4-6 month ago?)

Okay, too bad there is no solution to fix the database. Thank you

A question about the bug, is there a risk of the same bug recurring in the future? I often use this function to create snippets and I would not like to again lose all the work done and have to start over from scratch.

No, that bug will not reoccur (unless you install the old buggy version again).
You were quite unlucky with this as only few people had downloaded that version ;-(
