I am experiencing a strange behavior with the Finder Context Menu.
I have several Custom Finder Context Menu items (written in Applescript) that work well when I use the context (right-click) menu in Finder, but do not work when I call them from BTT's icon in the Finder's window toolbar.
Anyone else experiencing this? Maybe am I missing something?
I am using BTT 4.932 (but I had this behavior before) and Sonoma 14.7.1 (M2). I have verified that the Finder Extension is correctly checked in System Preferences.
Thank you for your answer!
Yes, I have, and I just re-checked that the BetterTouchTool Finder Extension is correctly enabled.
What is really strange to me is that it works from the context menu, but not from the Finder's toolbar!
that is indeed weird, afaik apps can not even control to actively hide items from the toolbar menu.
Have you tried to restart finder? (opt + right-click the Finder icon)
Thank you for your answer!
I restarted Finder to no avail.
And then... I rebooted my computer completely and it worked
Sorry to have bothered you, it's like I missed Computers 101!
