Just installed BTT and learning how to configure things. I used the master 4 preset that I found on one of these threads from Hegenberg but it does not seem that changes are being applied. Most importantly, the scroll functionality does not work at all.
The software isn't completely intuitive so I might be missing something obvious. Is there a way to apply these settings or confirm functionality of all mouse features? I deleted logi options after reading that so BTT is the only affective software on the mouse currently. How can I confirm full mouse functionality and make sure all actions are running properly?
how did you delete logitech options? (just deleting it doesn’t work, you need to run the official logitech uninstaller because it integrates deeply into the system, you might need to restart macOS after uninstalling )
Restarting worked. Just dialing in all the settings now. I noticed there's a lot of presets or functions scattered around the BTT forum that aim to collect all logi options functionality into BTT. Is there an aggregate list of all these so I can add al functions without creating each one?
really depends on what you need, I think all of the shared presets target different functionality as the possibilities are endless
Primarily just want all the swipe shortcuts that the trackpad does compatible with the action button on the mouse, the way logi does it. From there I would develop my own shortcuts. Trying to get to the core features of what logi provides is the bare minimum though.
Also having a hard time getting the scrolling dialed in properly. I'm using the smooth scrolling modifier but seems I'm getting a really sticky scroll with very high sensitivity. Sorry for the numerous questions, getting things aligned properly is proving difficult.
unfortunately I don't know much about how Logitech Options does it, but for the space switch swipes you can assign the "start smooth space switch" action like this:
Smooth scrolling should work quite well with the default settings of the smooth scroll modifier, these have proven to be popular among users.
