Closing a custom context menu without clicking outside

Hi. Is there a way to close a "Show Custom Context Menu" in BTT without clicking outside or selecting an option?

That is the first thing I tried but does not seem to work in my case: I have a floating menu button that opens the context menu on hover start and I would like to be closed on hover end, to which I have assigned the escape shortcut but that doen't work.

Unfortunately this will only work with a real ESC press (or one generated by a different app, but not BTT itself). That's a limitation of the macOS context menus in this scenario.
