Close floating menu from memory on red close button

There doesnt seem to be a good way to close down floating menus from memory. There is the keep active in background and the keep in cache options. But I for ex have a temp chatgpt window which i work with for a while, open and close. Then I have a command to reload so I clear it. But it would be nice to use the red close button to just close it from memory.

Thinking that "left click red window button" on a floating menu to close it from memory would be nice to have. Trying to find best way to use hovered item to include all floating menus as well.

To have an action in floating menus actions "Close from memory" to clear it from memory when your not using it is my suggestion.

I have several floating menus that i use, and if you have them left in background Better Touchtool can grow to 4gb of memory.

A dedicated "close & clear from memory" action definitely makes sense. For the red button, maybe it can become a setting on the menu. I'll look into that.

You can try with BTT 6.680 (uploading):

And an option for the "Hide Floating Menu" action:

Fanstatic! It seems to work nicely.

But there is a strange behavior when using title bar, thats been there since before this update. The floating window can disappear when I try to move it, when dragging on the middle of the top of the window. And also randomly disappears when i click anywhere thats not on the floating window, it can sometimes be when clicking on the floating window as well.

Sometimes it also clears the floating window and reloads it, so the temp chat is gone when I launch it again.

(Just tell me if I should start a new topic)
