Clipboard manager settings unreachable after first access

I have reported this before here but got no reaction. Since the exact bug changed a bit, I am re-reporting it now.

Note:
Before bug reporting, please make sure you have tried the latest (alpha) version of BetterTouchTool and that you have already tried to restart your system :-). If you encounter a crash, please attach a crash log from the macOS Console.app from the "User Diagnostic Reports" section.

Describe the bug

I have configured the BTT clipboard manager (CM) to automatically hide when I click outside it.

If I open the CM, then open its settings window; then click outside; then this closes the CM and the CM settings.

If I now reopen the CM, I cannot access its settings anymore. The button for opening the settings is permanently in a "selected" state (rendered darker).

Restarting BTT fixes this.

Screenshots

Here you can see the settings button in its stuck state.
