When I take a screenshot, it's not getting copied to the btt clipboard. it does get copied to the Alfred clipboard and system clipboard. I'm using the copy to clipboard macOS feature.

BTT v5.423
macOS 15.4.1
@Andreas_Hegenberg is this a known issue? The clipboard works fine when copying image or text generally.
no, not known. This is the main thing Iām using it for -)
Does your clipboard manager in general work?
It works in general. Copying all sorts of files works. But not from the screenshot. What can I do or share with you to fix this, or get it working for me.
Also, any way to clear the clipboard information? Like entire clipboard erase through automation. Not but ā + A and delete.
Does this not work in all apps or not in some specific app? (the screenshot tool doesn't "focus", so if e.g. the clipboard manager would be disabled for a specific app it would also not record screenshots while that app is active)
just took a screenshot in a few apps. Alfred and system clipboard work. BTT Clipboard doesn't.

I meant while different apps were active, you seem to test mostly with brave?
testing with vs code and safari

also sent you debug logs on Andreas Hegenberg andreas@folivora.ai
Is maybe something clearing your clipboard before BTT can record it? After capturing, can you paste the screenshot via standard cmd+v here?
"unfortunately" your debug data looks good, I replicated it here with the same settings but it's working fine.
I currently can only imagine some other app interfering.
You could try with the latest alpha, but I doubt there was a fix that influenced this.
updated to 5.443 alpha. Didn't resolve it.
i only have these apps running:
G Drive, Dropbox, hazel, dropover, PopClip, quitter, display monitor, AIDente (battery app)

What can I do to fix this? Happy to share more data if you want.
Oh wait, something weird is happening. The screenshot does show up after like a few mins see. But it took like easily more than a few mins.
Unfortunately I don't know, there is not much more data you could share.
Maybe something is marking your screenshots as "sensitive" data, in that case checking this option would help - but this could only happen if some other app is modifying your clipboard
That is very strange. Maybe the clipboard manager database is corrupted somehow. You can reset it completely by deleting these files:
'/Users/yourUser/Library/Application Support/BetterTouchTool/BTTClipboardManager_20241210.sqlite'
'/Users/yourUser/Library/Application Support/BetterTouchTool/BTTClipboardManager_20241210.sqlite-shm'
'/Users/yourUser/Library/Application Support/BetterTouchTool/BTTClipboardManager_20241210.sqlite-wal'
I think this has to do something with Typinator. I have a few expansions like upper case for first character after a period. Not sure why BetterTouchTool is capturing them to clipboard. See

Interesting, most likely to achieve this Typinator is constantly copying to & modifying the clipboard - however I'm not sure how it would affect screenshots.
What happens if you quit Typinator?
doest not work still. i killed the typinator process before this screencast

@Andreas_Hegenberg
This is a side question, but I'm curious why Alfred and even Keyboard Maestro don't capture the Typinator expansions.
My primary issue is still the screenshot not copying.
