Note:
- Tried: Version: 5.546 (2025073001) | Check For Regular Updates --> You're up-to-date! BetterTouchTool 5.468 is currently the newest version available. (You are currently running version 5.546.)
- I could not understand this message. On one had, it says I have "5.546." On the other hand, it says, "5.468" is the newest version. There is a version difference. But it still says: "You're up-to-date!"
- Restarted the system.
Describe the bug
- This is about the clipboard, search query, and items.
- While the "All Items" is selected in the clipboard manager, one search query works and finds the item whereas another search query does not work even though the item contains those characters.
- I have attached screenshots to clarify the problem.
Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):
MacBook: Apple M1 Max macOS Sequoia Version 15.5
Screenshots
We can see in the top screenshot that searching for "A part" did not bring any result, but in the bottom screenshot, we can see that searching with "Coursera" brought two items that start with "A part"! I expect that both the items should appear even when we type "A part" in the search field.
Device information:
- Type of Mac: MacBook: Apple M1 Max macOS Sequoia Version 15.5
- macOS version: macOS Sequoia Version 15.5
- BetterTouchTool version: Version: 5.546 (2025073001)
Additional information (e.g. crash logs, related issues, etc.):
Looks like BTT Clipboard has some issues with the single letters like A, B, C, etc. followed by a space. For example, if we have a clipboard item like: "A cat" and we search with "A cat," it does not show the item. But if we search with "cat," it shows up the item.
Let me know if I need to provide more information.
