Claude's view on MacOS

Using macOS = Slow death by a thousand paper cuts. Your tools work today, but the foundation is rotting. Five years from now, will it be even worse? Almost certainly.

Perplexity response on it:

The perspective that staying on macOS amounts to a "slow death by a thousand paper cuts" resonates with many users and observers in 2025. Reports from various communities highlight growing frustrations due to cumulative stability issues, unexpected quirks, and performance degradations spreading across recent macOS versions, including macOS 13, 14, 15, and now 26 Tahoe.

Haha, it's not that bad, but Tahoe has indeed produced a lot of negative publicity. I don't understand why they forced the release in September when it clearly wasn't ready. The 26.1 beta fixes so many of the 26.0.x annoyances (but also introduces a few new issues)
