Chrome: new tabs keep popping

Hello,
I've been using BTT for a few years now and always have been so happy with it.
But ever since I switched to my new Macbook pro 2019/Macosmojave, new blank google chrome tabs keep opening as I type on keyboard while on google chrome app. (It happened twice as I wrote this, that's how annoying it is.)
While BTT is disable it doesn't happen. I have emptied the google chrome gestures page and it still happens. none of my all apps gestures has anything to do with "new tabs".

Probably you have assigned cmd+t (or middle click or cmd+click) to some trigger in BTT accidentally? If it's happening while typing, maybe to a touchpad corner tap?
Maybe post your config, then I can check where the problematic trigger is located

I think you are most likely accidentally tapping the Netflix & Facebook Touch Bar buttons you configured:

They open a blank tab because they have a second empty line in the URL configuration field:

If you remove that you'll see whether netflix / facebook is popping up instead of the blank tab, then you'll now.
