I use floating windows with chatgpt and perplexity. And lately the performance has been really slow, to the point where its so choppy that it doesnt always get the full keyboard input when writing. Also scrolling is super choppy. This happens also directly after a fresh boot.
I dont know if theres something i changed? I was messing around a bit with hover resize and location, it feels like it got worse after that. But I did change it back.
Anything else to think about with the floating web view for performance?
Also can you clear the cache without removing login? Its a bit annoying to login since the password autofill isnt there in floating webview.

one thing that can cause performance issues with webviews is added transparency background effects on the menu / item.
Could you share that menu with me?
Unfortunately I don't think you can clear the cache without clearing the login as that is part of the cookies and stuff
Btw. if you are still on 26.0, 26.1 fixed tons of things, some also related to the WKWebView BTT uses
I updated and still the same. Its the same no matter what settings in the menu. But discovered another interesting thing. While using MPV player Better Touchtool makes moving the window very slow. You can drag a video window and it can take 3 seconds before it moves?! Also scrubbing and switching video in playlist i slow. Works fine when closing Better Touchtool.
I do run some LUA scripts as well on MPV player. I would be interesting to se if MPV player acts the same for you?
