Hi,

I really appreciate screenshot function, and I would like to record short sequence on screen.

Is it possible with "Capture & Edit Screenshot or Video" function ?

If you use the "Capture & Edit Screenshot or Video (using new Mojave tools) and you are on macOS 10.14 or higher, it will show a little bar on your screen where you can select various types of recordings. This also allows you to capture videos.

Moreover, do you know if it is possible to record in other video format than Quicktime ?

I think the screencapture tool can only record H.264 but I don't know for sure.
