Guten Morgen,
In the color picker, there is a color palette at the bottom, but I can’t save any colors there. There is no way to drag a color onto it.
Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

it's a limitation with the window level the color picker is being shown with - the dragging happens "below" the color picker. This was required on older macOS versions, but it looks like the issue that forced me to do that has been fixed at some point. I think I can show the color picker at a lower level now.
That would be great. The Color Picker is a very simple tool, but quite useful.
yes especially with some extensions, for whatever reason the extension support of macOS color picker is relatively unknown
(And of course Panic's developer color picker extension which is nowadays a bit hard to install Making Panic's Developer ColorPicker (DeveloperColorPicker.colorPicker) work in macOS BigSur & macOS Catalina · GitHub)
I have also been thinking about including a nice color picker extension based on that MaterialDesignColorPIcker in BTT.... maybe I'll do that soon.
The issue should be resolved in current alpha versions
Thank you very much for the quick implementation. It works perfectly!
Sure, other apps could be used, but why bother when BetterTouchTool has everything built-in? I’m completely satisfied with this simple solution.
If you also implement the thing with Measuring, then I’ll be perfectly happy
No, these are not other apps, they are extensions for the system color picker (which BetterTouchTool is showing)
The great thing about these is that they will work in every app that uses the system color picker
Yes, I’m aware of that. I just meant that I used to use other apps, including this one: https://sipapp.io/. Then they introduced the subscription model, and that was the end of it for me. BetterTouchTool has so much built-in that you don’t need any other apps.
The same goes for a measuring app. I used to use xScope https://xscopeapp.com/ and later PixelSnap https://getpixelsnap.com/. But that’s also unnecessary because if you add the measuring tool as an “action” in BetterTouchTool, you have everything you need.
