Cannot register lifetime license on new Mac

I purchased a lifetime license for BTT, which is well worth it.

I have a new MacBook Pro, and I installed the latest version of BTT. However, when I import the license, I get the message that my license is more than two years old, and that I cannot use the latest version.

I exported the lifetime license from my other Mac, then double-clicked on it on the new computer, but am still being asked to buy a new license.

Any suggestions how to correct this?

Resolved-

License attachment in confirmation email didn't work. Exporting license from current Mac BTT didn't work.

But there was also a link in the confirmation email to an activation online. That worked.

Strange, the link does basically the same as double-clicking the license file. Wonder what went wrong there.
