EDIT: I used terminal to kill the legacy plugin requirement, so I'm all set, leaving this here for poesterity. The terminal command I used was:
defaults write com.hegenberg.BetterTouchTool useAppleRemotePlugin NO
ORIGINAL POST:
I've used BTT for years without issue, but when I upgraded my iMac to Tahoe 26.6, it now prompts me INCESSANTLY with popups to install the "Candelair" driver. This never happened before, and is creating popups unrelentingly, every single time I navigate between windows.
Clicking "Download" or "More information" in the popup launches candelair.com, which is now some sort of furniture/luxury brand rather than the driver BTT supposedly needs. I found and installed the Candelair driver elsewhere online, but BTT doesn't seem to recognize it.
Clicking "Cancel" in the popup spawns another clone popup (doing basically anything creates a popup), and clicking "Cancel" on that one closes both of them, but sometimes spawns an additional popup (I've gotten up to 8 popups before).
I don't even use any IR features of BTT, so I don't even need the driver, but BTT does, and these popups are KILLING my workflow. They take focus from the keyboard while I'm typing, they spawn new popups spontaneously after a minute or so, it's unbearable. My computer is up to date, BTT is up to date, the driver is old and I don't need it anyway, what on earth can I do here?? HELP!!
Retina 5K Intel iMac 27" 2020, macOS version Tahoe 26.6, BTT version 6.563
