I asked Claude to add a keyboard shortcut to BTT for me and it did it eventually but had to poke around for a while.
You basically have two options:
- use BTT's integrated AI assistant:
- Enable BTT's MCP server so it can be used by Claude. With v6.732 BTT's MCP server can now also expose any integrated BTT Skill (e.g. for creating actions, triggers or plugins), basically allowing any AI tool to interact with BTT. With previous version you'd need to have a configured AI Assistant inside of BTT.
Thanks Andreas - I could have (and maybe should have) looked more deeply.
I asked Claude to take care of it and it didn't find the MCP server itself (but eventually did what I wanted on its own after a while). Maybe you could put a file somewhere it'd discover with instructions.
Before posting, I searched this forum for 'ai' which was too short a keyword and then 'claude' and didn't immediately see what I wanted. It's actually pretty obvious in the app and it seems to work well - I have just got in the habit of getting a robot to configure software when I can.

I mean I just enabled that MCP skill support earlier today in 6.732. The previous MCP would not have helped for your use case.
