Can I limit the scrolling detection in magic mouse to the center?

I like having the ability to vertically scroll by sliding my finger on the middle of the magic mouse. But sometimes when I'm right clicking, for example, I will accidentally brush the surface causing the page to scroll unintentionally. For some app/websites, this is a real problem. I would like to limit the surface area of the mouse that detects a scroll action to exclude the edges of the mouse and only register a scroll action if I do it closer to the center. Is this possible? (yes, I know I could buy a new mouse, but I'd prefer not to.)

BetterTouchTool currently can’t do that, however I might add ways to customize the scrollable area in a future release
